Maths

Hello and welcome back to my blog

For the past few weeks we have been doing maths on stanford. In this workshop is a bunch of reasons why we should have a growth mindset and lots of things to help us with maths. There were 6 different lessons that we participated in. The first session was based around knocking down the myths about maths in this one we watching videos on myths that people would say and how the girls would have pretty little barbies and the boys would have building blocks and maths toys. Maths in the mindset was the next one in this session we focused on how we should have a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset because if we have a fixed mindset we give up and stop believing in themselves but if you have a growth mindset then even if someone knocks you down you will get back up. Mistake and speed in this lesson we learnt that we don't have to be fast to be good at maths if you think in depth then you can also be as good as the person that is fast. Number flexibility mathematical reasoning and connections In this lesson we learnt that there is maths in dancing to because when they do kicks they have to get it to a certain degree. Number patterns and Representations This one was about how there is pattens on different leaves and pinecones that also involve maths. Math in life Nature work This one takes about how people could make maths games fun and it game us some fractions to work out . At the end of the course we got a certificate with how much percent we got. To pass the course we had to get passed 80% and I got 94% yay I passed.  Here is my certificate. Thank you so much for reading my blog

Have you ever taken a stanford course?
