Drink to think think to drink

This term we have been doing think to drink to think. It is were you have to drink a whole bottle of water before lunch that is the challenge.  Why I think this is a good thing to do in school is because some people don't drink water but now we are challenging you and everyone to drink 1 whole bottle of water before lunch. This is a challenge for me because some times I forget to drink out of my drink bottle.

Play Eat Learn

                                                       Play Eat Learn


          This term we have been doing this thing called Play Eat Learn.  It is where you play and then you eat inside with anyone you want and sometimes we listen to books or we chat to friends. We started this at the start of term three. My plus about this is that we get to make new friends. What I find interesting is that we get to read and eat at the same time or we get to talk. My minus is that we don't get to eat outside.

Maths has changed because we added one whole workshop to maths. My plus about having three workshops  is that we can finish our follow up sooner and that there is only one workshop you can have each day. My minus is that we have a lot of follow up. What I find interesting is that we can sit anywhere at any time.

Team building

                                                            Team building

Over the past week we have been rotating around the hub for team building. The challenges we had to do were...

1. Building towers with raw spaghetti  and marshmallow.

 2. Building stretchers with news paper and 1 meter of  tape and string. 

3. Building paper chains with 1 sheet  of paper and 1 meter of tape.

4. This was probably the hardest for me as we  had to stack cups with out using  our clothes body or anything apart from 5 piece of string and  1 rubber band.

 My favorite one was probably building paper chains as this was  the most challenging for my team and my self. This was because there was 5 people and we all had to do something. But eventually  we all found something and made a really long paper chain 

How do you find working in a team have you got any other ideas we could do.

With Miss Dungey we have been learning how to do step out writing. Step out writing is where you're allowed to talk but you have to use actions and it also helps you to remember your story.

pop the pig

Once upon a time in a land not so far away there lived a party pig called pop. Pop was on his way to a party to bust out his new moves.

Little red astronaut

Once upon a time in a planet far far away there lived a little girl called little red astronaut. One of  her dreams were to jump over the moon and that's what she did.

Family treasure

At school we have been learning about family culture for pbl (project based learning). One of the tasks was having to present something from our culture.

A couple of week ago I brought in a blood red ruby ring that belonged to my great great great grandmother Jean . It gets passed down to the oldest girl when they turn 21.Before Jean died she passed it down to my Nana and then my mum. The red ruby inside the ring represents a 40th wedding anniversary. It has 2 sparkly diamonds on the side. The person that gave Jean the ring was my great great grandfather Leo. They had been married for 60 years now. Jean loved cooking and growing gardens and my great great grandfather Leo liked fishing and coming home and eating Jean's meals. So I hope you enjoyed my family anecdote.
