Powerful PBL

This term for PBL ( project based learning)  We have been focusing on our driving question: how can we speak up against discrimination. There were 4 diffrent types of discrimmanation these are-  Sexism, racism, ableism and religious discrimination there were also 4 ways we could showcase our learning these were- Ted talk, drama, podcast, and poetry slam. After we had competed our finally projects we made an invitation to invite friend and family.

This is the blurb that we had to write to tell people a little bit about  what our PBL is about. Here is the blurb that my group wrote.
This term for our PBL we have decided to do a drama on sexism. We choose to do this topic because we  thought that there were quite a few people getting discriminated because of their gender. We have found that there are actually a lot more people getting discriminated because of their gender. There  are a few different reasons why we choose this topic and one of them was because we wanted to see what gender was the one that got discriminated against the most.

This is the invitation that I created-
Have you ever been discriminated against?
If you haven't heard of discrimination do you want me to do a blog on it?

Art

Hello and welcome back to my blog

This week we learnt how to make art on google drawings.  Personally I  find art on google drawings impossible but somehow I managed to make something average. It was very difficult but it was sort of fun. ( I am not very good at art) thank you for reading my blog.

Are you good at art?

We passed around the bowl and in a few mins the dough was done. Believe it or not the elderly people are actually really good at cooking. Maths

hello and welcome back to my blog

A couple of weeks ago we did a maths problem called stairs to squares. we had a lot of questions that we had to answer the, first question was to find different patterns that could fit into the squares. After we did that we had to do around 5 questions that we had to answer they  were a bit difficult. The last step was to make a video of us talking about what strategies we used why we used it and why it is good to struggle.   Thank you for reading my blog I hope you enjoyed.

Bingo card

Hi guys welcome back to my blog

last week we had been doing a bingo card. this bingo card had a bunch of tasks that we had to complete throughout the week. Our main priority was the red square in the middle ( problem solving) this problem was called staries to squares. for this problem we had to find patterns throughout the staries. after we had found 4 different ways we moved onto the 5  questions. Once this was done we had to make a screencastify to show our learning and how it is also good to struggle because it means we are learning. I enjoyed doing this bingo card. Thank you for reading my blog!!!!.

Have you ever done a problem called staries to squares??

Breakout EDU

Hello and welcome back to my blog

This week we have been doing breakout EDU. We have got quiz groups and 2 quiz groups went into the library to try and breakout. My quiz group is called the quizacorns and we went with ccn today. the first thing we had to do was to find all the clues to unlock the locks. There were 4 locks that we had to find a code for. Once we had found out the right code we had to find a key to unlock a little boxes inside this boxs there was 1 hint but we decided that we didn't want to use it. the hardest part was the last lock were we had to find letters on the back of the presept cards with a black light. Now it was time to open the box. Inside the box there was little cards that said what we can do to make someone happy. Thank you for reading my blog.

Teachers strike

Hola and welcome back to my blog

On the 29th of may most of the schools went on strike. this strike was on why teachers should get more time to plan. Most people think that the teacher would like more money but it wasn't for that it was because they want more time to plan out what they are going to do for the day. I think that it was good that the teachers went on strike because they're doing it for something that they want. Thank you for reading my blog.

Did your teachers go on strike?
