Tough kids

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

A few weeks ago we went to tough kids. A Lot of schools took part and were wearing all different costumes. My friends and I were wearing tutus in rainbow colours. ( I was orange ) There were alot of different obstacles my favorite one was the one where we went through the water and the bouncy castles. After we had finished the race we were all drenched with water and hungry. After we were all changed and full we went on the bus ride back to school and finished off some work. Thank you for reading my blog I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Sport

Hello and welcome back.

Last week we played a fun game called lawn bowls. We didn't play the real game but we played a version that was really fun. The first 20 mins we were playing a game that involved to coloured balls ( Green and Purple)  1 colour had to roll the balls and get as many balls in the hops and we could and then the other colour would have to knock them out. The second game we had to go into teams of 3 I went with ella and felicity there were about 10 activities that we did and we got points. Thank you for reading my blog.

Have you ever played lawn bowls?

Attitude Talk

Hola and welcome back to my blog.

Last week we had the attitude team come in and talk about puberty. This topic was a bit weird to talk about but the team also made it funny. There was 2 people that came in their names were Emma and Rory. On the first day we were all together but on the second day we got split. When we got split we talked about relationships how we change and what grows. Did you know that the first part of your body that grows is your feet?. Even though this was weird to talk about it was funny to watch and listen to. Thank you for reading my blog I hope you learnt something.

How would you feel if someone talked to you about this?

Free Choice

Hello and welcome back to my blog.

For the last few weeks we have been writing an information report. To start this we had to name a country that we wanted to write about e.g Australia. We had to include 7 paragraphs in these paragraphs we had to put in Population and Demographic Location and Climate Flag Key Influences Major Events and there was a few more. I am really enjoying writing this report because I am learning about australia while I am writing. Thank you for reading my blog.

Reading Create

Hola and welcome back to my blog

This Week for reading my goal was: Use Questions to challenge the text Question the author establish the authenticity of the text and state opinions. For this Task we had to fill out a padlet. We had to answer some questions, with questions that we wanted to ask the author. Here are What I answered with. Thank you for reading my blog.

Have you ever used padlet??

Which article was authentic? How did you come to work this out? Give 2 examples from both texts to backup your reasoning as to why it was fake or authentic.

Answer: I think that the second article is real and the other one is fake because in the second book it actually showed pictures of the school and the kids and the other one didn't the first one also didn't have the much writing and also was written in a bit of spanish and the first one was clear easy to read and had  lot of information.

Write two questions that you would like to ask the author if ever given the chance to do so.

Answer: 1. Did this book mean anything to you when you wrote it ?.

2. Why did you choose to write about this ?.

State your thoughts and opinions about both pieces of text - was there a particular part of the text that changed your opinion from the beginning?

Answer: In the first text it was written in spanish so it was hard to read and also the title was Honduras would ban homework which sort of gave the book away and there was no point

Add your infographic showing ways in which we can be aware of fake news articles online.

Answer: You can usually tell when things are fake when they
- haven't got much info
-when there writing isn't consistent
- and when there title gives it away

Hello and welcome back to my blog

The last couple of weeks we pulled a country out of the hat. With this country we had to make instructions and a recipe on how to make one of these countries foods for example I pulled out germany so I mad german pancakes which are pancakes but the sides grow and they get cooked in the oven sort of like a cake. For the instructions I choose to play the chocolate game. I really enjoyed making these pancakes maybe next time I could have added more sugar  but overall I enjoyed it.

Cool Camp

Last Tuesday we travelled for around 1 1/2 hours to arrive at Wainui. To get to the actual campsite we had to hike up hills this took around 2 1/2 hours but it was fun. The first thing we had to do was to unload our bags and make our beds it was pretty hot outside so we went outside to play before our first activity. This is basically what we did for 4 days. On the last night we had to reflect on our camp. The questions we had to answer were what we learnt, what our fav things were, what we found challenging and something that we were grateful for. here are my answers. ↓

What I learnt at camp: For the past few days I have learnt a few things like to make new friends when  we were not  with our friends for activities. How to properly jump of rocks high and low. How to kayak, Build stretchers with sticks tarps and rain jackets and help people that are in trouble and how to shoot an arrow.

My favourite thing at camp: Was meeting the instructors Duffy Tay Grandma and Izzy + more. playing games with my group and sometimes others and eating dessert. I also enjoyed the freetime to play and catch up with our friends.

What I found challenging: The first 2 days that we were there I found it challenging when we went into our groups because I didn't really know anyone But I also found out that they were actually funny and cool to hang with. I also think that it was challenging not having all of my friends in the same bunk room at night. I also found driving up the hills challenging because they were quite high and I couldn't look down because it made me feel sick.

Something I am grateful for: I am grateful for all the teachers and parent helps that help cooked dinner breakfast dessert and lunch, the parent helps for coming to activities with us the instructors my friends for helping me when I was nervous even though they were nervous too.

Thank you so much for reading my blog I hope you learnt what I did at camp.
Have you ever been to wainui???
